Long-term relationships
Our activities include our own treatment plants, consultancy and collection. We always seek to build solid long-term relationships with our customers and other partners regarding waste management issues.
The entire waste management field
SITA Sverige is active across the entire waste management field, from collection and sorting to recovery and recycling. Waste that cannot be recovered or recycled is converted into energy by combustion.
Finally, residues that cannot be used in any other way are disposed of in landfill. We work constantly to reduce the amount of waste that has to be disposed of in landfill.
60 local offices
SITA Sverige has about 1,100 employees in 60 local offices, from Örnsköldsvik in the north to Tomelilla in the south. We undertake waste management for approx. 30,000 companies and some 50 local authorities in Sweden. The business is divided into four regions; North, East, Central and South. We also have a number of commercial projects.
History
SITA Sverige was founded in 2001, through the merger of Miljöservice, Tabulatorgruppen and WM Sellbergs. Together with our colleagues in Finland, SITA makes a strong partner across a large part of the Nordic countries.
